Yesterday was a productive day for radio. I jumped on ISS FM and RS-44 passes and made a few contacts on the former. I was able to get into RS-44 just but was not able to complete a sked with a German ham as hoped.

I also got on HF for about an hour and a half last night and worked dozens of stations on 20m, 30m, and 40m FT8. I tried 80m too, but my antenna was just too compromised to complete any contacts with only 5w. It was a nice way to wind down the evening though, and I even completed a 30m sked for a ham who reached out before I left.

Today is our last real day here, so my schedule will be highly variable again. I’m hoping to get on at least one or two more satellite passes and possibly make some HF contacts in the evening. I would really like to get an HF SSB contact in before I leave! At this point, I don’t think I will be on the air at all Sunday, 2/2. If I did, it would be something very early morning.

My planned satellite passes for this morning:

  • 1400z AO-91
  • 1408z ISS FM

Any other updates today will come via my Garmin inReach!
